Mighty Angstin' GF Rangers Episode Four: Great Great Mystery! Who was that guy, anyway? by Kate Malloy Chibi started by Illyria ***** "The Green SeeD..." Selphie said in amazement. "Where'd he come from?" Irvine asked. "Oooh, he's really tall!" Rinoa squealed. "I still think he should have been Irvine," Zell muttered. Quistis glared at him. "Did I say you could speak?" "My deepest apologies, Mistress." Zell squirmed uncomfortably under her gaze. "See that it doesn't happen again." She turned to Squall. "As our leader, isn't it your responsibility to greet him?" "...whatever." Squall began to walk toward the Mega CactuarZord. The Green SeeD waved and started to reach for his helmet. Before Squall or any of the others could make out his identity, however, their wrist communicators began to beep a rendition of "Eyes on Me." With a frustrated brood (eyebrow 0.001 inches higher than a normal brood), Squall answered his. "Squall here. What is it, Zord... er, Headmaster?" "Good work, Rangers," the voice of Cid Kramer said. "Return to base immediately." "But we were just about to find out who the Green SeeD is!" Selphie protested. "And I haven't had a chance to blow anything up yet!" Irvine inched away from the cute, perky, excessively-violent girl. "You will find out soon enough," Cid continued. "There are other things we must discuss first." "Right." Squall looked at his fellow team members. "Let's go." The six SeeDs teleported away, leaving a very confused Green SeeD behind. ***** Seifer and Raijin were chatting in the docking bay of Edea Repulsa's still- undefined headquarters when the sorceress herself came sweeping in. "Kurse all SeeDs!" she exclaimed. Seifer looked curiously at her. "Did you just say 'curse' with a 'k'?" he asked. Catching sight of Edea's expression, he quickly muttered "Never mind." "Raijin! How goes the progress on my ship?" she asked. "Well, I'm still workin' on it, ya know? These things take time, and it's not like I have all that much experience, ya know?" Edea fixed him with a cool stare. "Have it ready by next episode," she ordered. As she prepared to leave, Seifer came up behind her. "Give me another chance against the SeeDs!" he cried. "Why should I? You have already failed once," she pointed out. "But I would have *won* if it weren't for that meddling CactuarZord!" he replied. "Please, Edea..." She glared at him. "Edea *Repulsa.* Just one more chance!" "All right. I'll give you one last chance. Take the SephiZord and see if you can lure both the SeeDs and their new ally out." Seifer smirked evilly. This time, he would not fail. ***** Meanwhile, somewhere far away, the Mega CactuarZord rested in a nearly dark docking bay. Three shadowy figures regarded it. "Never thought we'd get to use this again," the first one stated. "Yeah, I thought we took care of that sorceress years ago. Locked her in a dumpster and shot her into space," the second answered. "..." the third said. "He says that's the wrong one." "Oh." ***** The six SeeDs appeared in their base. Rinoa glomped onto Squall's arm. "I was really really really really really..." (Oh, no, here we go again. Why me?) "really really scared back there, Squall!" (Huh, that was shorter than I expected.) "But you were soooooooooooooo brave! I feel really safe when I'm with you, because I know you'll never let anything bad happen to me, right?" "...whatever." The giant floating head of Cid Kramer materialized in front of them. "Excellent job, Rangers." "But we didn't actually do anything," Irvine pointed out. "We showed up, Seifer's Zord took out the Fuddies, and then we got saved by the Green SeeD." "We wouldn't have needed to be saved if you'd just shoot the damn thing," Zell muttered, before Quistis looked at him again. "Meep." "Headmaster Cid, who is the Green SeeD?" Selphie asked. "Where'd he come from? Is he really our ally? Or is he just pretending to help us so he can turn on us later in a vicious betrayal that forces us to blow up his Zord into itty-bitty pieces?" Cid demonstrated, at that moment, that it is indeed possible for giant floating heads to sweatdrop. "You will find out in due time," he said. "For now..." "I know!" Rinoa interrupted. "Maybe he's Squall's long-lost brother! I'll beat he's really really cute!" "...whatev-*ow!*" Quistis nonchalantly recoiled her whip. "So, what is our next step?" "Permission to speak, Mistress?" Zell asked, grumbling. Quistis nodded. "I think we're supposed wait for Edea Repulsa to make her next move." "Wait?" Irvine asked. "Shouldn't we be out there looking for her headquarters or trying to prevent her from launching whatever evil plan she's working on?" "It doesn't work that way!" Zell exclaimed. "The heroes always have to wait around until the villains make their next move. Haven't you seen the show?" *CRACK* "Nice going, Zell. You broke the fourth wall again." "Ah, shaddup." "That's coming out of your next SeeD paycheck," Squall told him. "Dammit! And I was planning on buying that new T-board-" He was interrupted by the previously-unnoticed viewing globe in the corner suddenly lighting up. It showed an image of the SephiZord rampaging through several buildings, then cut to a scene of Seifer in the cockpit, laughing maniacally. "Rangers! Seifer has taken the SephiZord to the abandoned warehouse district!" Cid stated. Selphie looked puzzled. "Since when did we have an abandoned warehouse district?" Cid ignored her. "You must take your Zords and stop him before he can destroy the entire district. Good luck, Rangers." Squall looked around. Rinoa was still clinging to his arm, Selphie was mesmerized by the bright glowing buttons on the control console, Irvine was playing a game of Triple Triad with the CalloBot, and Zell and Quistis were... Squall quickly turned away. "Let's go." (Maybe this time I can get Seifer to actually take Rinoa with him.) ***** [Selphie walks on screen, Zell behind her.] Selphie: Hiiiiii everyone! We've got a very important message for you today. [The scene cuts to a montage of various battles, Selphie's voice continuing over it.] Selphie: Every week you see us fighting lots and lots of bad guys. We use all sorts of cool attacks and really nifty things that blow up to help us triumph over evil! [The scene switches back to Selphie.] Selphie: But that's just acting. In real life, when you hit somebody, it really hurts! Watch! [She takes out her nunchaku and whacks Zell in the head.] Zell: Ow! Selphie: See! Didn't that look painful? Or, how about this? [She whaps Zell in the arm.] Zell: Ouch! Stop that! Selphie: Or what about... Oh, we're out of time. Okay. [She pouts slightly.] Anyway, always remember to be careful and safe when you play! [Camera begins to fade out.] Zell: Owwwwie... THESE HAVE BEEN WORDS OF WISDOM FOR ALL THE LITTLE ANGSTERS WATCHING. ***** Author's Notes: Hey, is that crack in the fourth wall still open? It is? Wai! Oh, Irvine...o/~ [The author dashes off in pursuit.]
