One hot sunny day; not too hot, as like the summers in the desert of Arizona, but nice and warm. On a day like this at McHandle Park, many families enjoy the warm day with kite flying or picnicking or maybe even a barbeque or two. Children would be laughing and playing, mothers would be gossiping and fathers swapping many different stories of greatness. No today, this day the park is empty and silent. That was probably because of the four individuals that entered an apartment building followed, five minutes later by a man and woman, which were intern followed by a man brightly dressed in white. Now this is not what made all the families vacate the premises no that would be from one sound. Gun Shot. Yes Gun Shot, a sound powerful enough to make many run in the opposite direction that it was in. Two men standing not 10 yards from one another stare for weakness. Watching for hand ticks, watching for eye movements anything that would betray the owner's intentions. Finding none in his opponent Garrick felt something he had not felt in probably fifteen to twenty years. He felt like this sensation was going to consume him. At first he thought that it was fear, but then he knew that this guy didn't scare him, no not at all. 'I have taken worse' he thought, 'Hell I've made worse guys than him.' It was then that he realized what the feeling was.doubt! A thousand different thoughts flooded his mind at that point. "You've been sitting on your ass in prison while this bastard has been keeping himself on top." "You're a leader not a fighter." "Go and save your sister" "Your sister?! Save your own ass!" "These guys mean nothing to you man leave 'em." 'No! I can beat him and I will beat him! They don't call me The Demon for nothing! A smile crosses the lips on Garrick "The Demon" Foster. tHe BlAcK pAcK Part 12/ Day 16c: One's Case is Another's Future Stared by: Mads the Beast This Part by: Paco the Puck "A smile? You look upon Heaven's Justice and smile?" said the White Bishop. He flexed the mace in his left hand; "I will enjoy sending you to the Gates of Ivory, foolish young man." "No, not today not any day gimmick man. It is just you and me, me and you," replied Garrick. "Hey! I'm still hear losers!" yelled Sean Willis, "Now let's drop the weapons and see those hand nice and slow. I am placing you both under arrest." With a smile the White Bishop said, "You are very alone Officer." "With all this gun play already back up is probably on its way here," replied Sean seriously. The White Bishop turn his head just slightly at Willis, "Officer I will give you this one opportunity to turn and leave to wait for your other Brothers in Blue. Go and stay alive, stay and die with The Demon. My quarrel is with Mr. Foster and him alone." "You might want to listen to the over-dressed bastard and try at me another day ," said Garrick. "Like Hell! I will say this again put the weapons down and hands in the air! NOW!" said the Detective. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ In the next room a similar show down was going on. Save for one thing, silence. Which was approved to all of the three criminals involved. Richmond Gray was standing next to Akiko both staring into the blackness across from them. In the right hand of Richmond was holding a thin simple knife, his right hand was balled up into a fist with blood leaking down leaving staining streaks on his suit jacket sleeves to form a pool. He looked upon this with a sneer; "My dear Geraldine will not be pleased with this event. Madam Akiko would you care to take this encounter up stairs so that we may fight this in private?" "Sounds like a good idea to me Silent Knife," said Akiko. Finishing saying that Akiko lifted her hand to produce thin wires that whipped out to the darkness. A shot fired at the wounded Richmond, but he was no longer there. A second shot fired from the darkness right after the first at Akiko but were deflected by her ever-moving wires. A knife cut through the air into the blackness and could be heard hitting the wooden wall. Akiko jumped up the stairs following Richmond who already was up the stairs. At the top of the stairs the pair of silent assassins stop shoulder-to- shoulder and gazed down the steps and waited. Silence, nothing but silence. Richmond waited and listened.the wind, Garrick's and the White Bishop's voices, Akiko's and his own heartbeat, the chirping of birds, and a single click, "Jump!" Richmond yelled. Akiko leapt to the left and Richmond to the right. Richmond threw a knife, which imbedded into the wooden wall again. 'Curses!' he thought. Akiko was moving her fingers and wrists constantly. 'So her wires are a defense against all attacks.interesting.' Akiko then stopped turned and ran at the closest wall, ran half way up it and then sprang off it towards the darkness, which moved as her foot went into the wall. 'That is it!' thought Richmond. He slow slipped back until his back was against the wall and when Akiko looked at him he nodded to her and she nodded back. Akiko turned her face back to face the shadows and whipped out her wires all at once in a furry of different directions. Such was the intensity of the attacks that Richmond was lost in the beauty of it all, that he almost missed his chance. With a smile on his face he drew another knife and tossed it. The knife flew through the air silently whipping from Richmond's hand only to be broken with the sound of glass shattering. Now the knife hung in the sunlight not in darkness for Richmond had thrown it to the right of the blackness. The knife hung in air for a few seconds and then it was ripped out along with the sound of more shattering glass as Akiko's wires sliced through where the knife hung. Richmond walked slowly up to where the glass had shattered where now had black pieces of cloth were showing, "I am truly impressed, said Richmond slowly, "Not only did your original plan of distraction work, but now I know who came up with it." "Who Silent Knife?" ask a rasped voice from the sunlight. "Why you of course." replied Richmond. "H-how could you know?" asked the sunlight. "Very simple, when my dear Akiko kicked the darkness you were not there. It was not that you had moved too fast or that she missed. It was more that you were never there to begin with. Your mirrors are arranged so that you make shadows to hide it even though you are not there. You are a genus so simple yet so completely sound," stated Richmond. "Not simple enough." said The Black Bishop moments before he died. "Well, my dear Akiko I must take my leave of you," said Richmond Gray as he headed to the stairs, "I must go to check on the status of my lovely Geraldine, and have my arm inspected by her loving care." "Well met Silent Knife," said Akiko then her eyes flashed dangerously, "But rest assured that the next time that we meet it will be for the last time." "Very well dear Akiko, until then," Richmond said before going down the stairs and out the front door not even bothering to look in on Garrick. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ Sean Willis tipped over an office desk and fired one round from his Colt .45 and a small burst from his Ingram at both criminals then ducking behind it. That started it; the White Bishop flinched back and fired at Garrick. Garrick twirled around blocking the shots fired at him with the back of his trench coat over to the nearest bookshelf and returning fire to both enemies. "Man it's been a while since I've had a gun fight like this!" laughed Garrick. "Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!" muttered Sean to himself. The Bishop stood there calmly seven feet and all as he fired a couple of shots at Sean, then pointed his mace at Garrick and pressed a button which made the spiked ball fly at Garrick who jumped sideways to avoid it as it's chain landed with it on the floor, firing at the White Bishop while landing behind a metal cabinet. Sean stood up and fired his Ingram at where Garrick used to be and his Colt at the Bishop who brought up his gun and turned it sideways to block the shots of Sean's Colt. 'Damn it! Where is my back up!" thought Sean as he ducked behind the desk when the Bishop returned fire. Sean could feel the desk move with each shot of the Bishops pistol. 'Damn he must be using a .50 cal Desert Eagle.' "You are both being foolish Lambs shouted the Bishop the echo of gun and pressed the button on his mace again and reeled the spiked ball in, "Just come out and face my Heavenly Justice!" With that he pressed the button on the handle of his mace and sent it out to smash in the metal cabinet. As he pressed the button a third time to retract the mace Garrick followed out from behind the metal cabinet shooting his guns at the Bishop; who jerked back to avoid the shots, was jerked forward as he realized that Garrick had push the cabinet forward so that it fell onto the chain. This was all realized a second before the many bullets entered his body. "H-how.why Lord?" The White Bishop asked to the ceiling before he too slipped from the world. Garrick slumped his back to rest against the wooden desk. Feeling the hot rush as it was all over, but just then the hot rush was interrupted but the cold steel of a Colt .45 being pushed against his head, "Forget about meeeeeeee?" yelled Sean before Garrick grabbed his shirt throwing him, but Sean grabbed his arm to pull Garrick along with him. Garrick let go of Sean and flew into the bookshelf. Both men came up with guns drawn at each other not one foot away from each other. They smiled, "So you're the legendary Garrick Foster The Demon himself?" said Sean. "In the flesh," replied Garrick, "But I'm sorry I didn't catch your name." "Detective Willis, Sean Willis," said Sean, "I'd shake your hand Mr. Foster but they're a little full." "No worries Detective I was just leaving anyways," Garrick said with a smile. "Not with out handcuffs or in a body bag," said Sean with a smile. The conversation didn't get any farther than that before a grenade was thrown through the hole in the wall. Both men looked at the explosive, looked at each other and jumped out the hole on to the street. As they came up they this time not only were they farther away from each other but not alone. Sean saw Geraldine Foster standing next to Richmond Gray and Alexander Brashier stepping out of a van. Garrick smiled and lowered his guns, "Well Detective Willis I am afraid that since you have seen me that this creates a problem." "Well damn," said Willis as he was trying to point two guns at four very good criminals. Which became harder when his Ingram was shot from his hand. Sean turned his head to see a very beautiful lady holding a long rifle with a scope. "Sorry for my absence Demon, but I was 'detained'," said Icy walking to stand over behind the van. "Don't worry about it Icy," said Garrick. At this point the name clicked in Sean's head. 'Icy the assassin who was said to be a key in bringing in The Demon! Now my head just hurts.' Sean who was feeling very nervous at this point heard a distant humming. "Bro? Bro there is a car coming," said Geraldine, "and fast." Over his shoulder Sean could see an old muscle car come up on them hard, 'No it couldn't be,' thought Sean. The car came up so fast that it was just about there before any of the Black Pack reacted to it. Sean jumped to the curb as the Black Pack started shooting at the car. Then a silver 1967 Mustang GT500 turned while applying its breaks to swerve with its driver side pointing in the opposite way of Sean. Sean looked up as the passenger door swung open as a big white man with blonde hair said in a deep voice, "Willis get in!" "You don't have to tell me twice, Cage," said Sean and jumped into the muscle car. As the car fishtailed and sped off Geraldine yelled, "Come on bro lets get 'em!" "No let them go," said Garrick, "We have enough wounds for one day and we need to get out of here before we get caught be a whole bunch of cops. We've been pretty lucky so far." As they all piled into the van Geraldine said, "Well I wouldn't call it luck." Garrick climbed into the front passenger seat and turned to look at Geraldine over his shoulder, "What do you mean?" "Alexander kept them away," answered Geraldine. Garrick looked at his tall friend. "Yea well I gave them something else to do." ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ "A what!" yelled Sean, "Please tell me that you're kidding Cage." "That's what their all at," replied Cage as he shifted gears into third, "Apparently there are some kids holding up Johnston High School, and with Columbine a few years back the city is gun shy so the entire police force, save you is down there." "Imagine that happening at the same time," said Sean, "What are the odds?" The wind blew the face of a Japanese woman as she stared at the street. Akiko watched the two vehicles speed off in separate directions from a near by rooftop. "Listen Cage I need to get back to my apartment can you take me there?" asked Sean. "Sure thing man," said Cage. "By the way how did you find me?" Sean inquired. "Well I was buying some motor oil at Thomas' place and this cop was there and first came the call about gun shots fired at a near by building and then the school hostage situation was called almost five seconds later," explained Cage, "I don't know dude, I just figured that you would be there and not the school." "Well I'm glad that you were." "Not a problem dude." "Say how is Dolman?" "Dead," said Cage silently. "Dead?" said Sean shocked, "How, when?" "Last month," Cage stated, "He and I took this job for a man named Forsythe. Well we were to protect this chick and her kid, but we were ambush by some real hard core guys. They got Dolman with a shot to the chest and got me in the leg." "How did you survive?" asked Sean. "I fell out of a window and landed in a dumpster," said Cage his voice barely heard, "They left me for dead. Three hours I laid there bleeding and unconcence before someone found me an called the hospital, Dolman wasn't so lucky, he died the next day." "Damn," said Sean, "Who were the guys." "I don't know man, but they had info on us. They knew where we were and what we had. I have never failed in a job by they just knew. Here we are man," said Cage as he stopped his car in front of an apartment building. "Thanks tough guy, is your pick up fee still 90 bucks?" asked Sean "Yea but this ones on the house. I'm gonna find out who set us up and then I'll call you dude," said Cage "You do that Johnny." said Sean and shut the door to the old muscle car. Sean watched the car drive off until he couldn't see it anymore and walked up the steps of his apartment. When he got to the top he heard a voice. "So you too are full of surprises Detective Willis." Sean whipped around with his Colt drawn to stare at Akiko. "Damn woman you just can't sneak 'up on me like that." said Sean with a smile. "Who was the man who picked you up?" asked Akiko "Oh his name is Jonathon Cage. He and I went to school together way back," said Sean, "I became a Cop and he chose to be a sell sword so to speak." "I take it that you are not used to people like us," Akiko asked with a smile. "Used to.this whole thing was like a bad Hong Kong action movie," laughed Willis, "No, I take that back. No movie was ever this bad. So how'd it go with you and your 'adversary'?" "Very will Detective Willis," said Akiko, "I just came by to say thank you. You helped me find my feet when I might have been swallowed by the darkness." "Aw its nothing," said Sean staring into the eyes of the black haired Japanese beauty, "You would have gotten back soon-" "No I would not have," said Akiko blankly then the hard look in her eyes disappeared, "You are a good man Detective Willis and I will miss you truly. I must find myself and see where that path takes me." "Yea, um well if that path leads in this area look me up okay?" said Sean. "I shall Detective," said Akiko, "Arigato." And with that she turned a walked it the same direction that Cage drove off to. Sean watched her go and sighed, "Man I got to get some sleep." Sean turned and walked into his building. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ Meanwhile in the blue van of the black pack. "Alex take us home I'm bushed," said Garrick "Sure thing boss," replied Alexander. "Hey bro what about the cop?" asked Geraldine. "What about him sis?" said Garrick, "It's not like we can chase him." "He is correct, lovely," said Richmond. "But he is gonna spill the beans that you're out!" Geraldine. "Look sis we will deal with that when it is time-" "Garrick I hate to interrupt but we are being followed," said Icy. Everyone turned around to see a white sedan speeding up behind them. In the driver seat was a rather tall individual. "Shit! It's the Bishop," said Garrick "What how the hell is he still alive?" questioned Alexander. "I don't know but hit the freeway it will be easier to drive faster," Garrick said. Alexander whipped the van hard at the next right with the white sedan following close behind them. As they entered the on-ramp the freeway didn't seem to be all that crowded, but the sedan was quickly gaining on the van. As Alexander swerved to avoid a blue station wagon the sedan hit the rear on the van. "Damn it!" growled Alexander. The van speed up to gain distance between the sedan and it, but the sedan came to the right side of the van and caught up with them. The Bishop could be clearly seen at this point and his diamond cross was missing and his outfit was burnt at many edges. He smiled and pointed his gun at the black pack and fired. "Brakes!" yelled Garrick. The van slammed back and the sedan fishtailed in a 180-degree turn and came at the van going the wrong way through traffic. "Damn he is nuts Demon!" said Alexander. Alexander sped up strait forward playing chicken with the sedan. Alexander moved first and to the left and the sedan just clipped the back of the van and sent it spinning so that the left side of the van slammed into the divider. Alexander floored the gas as the sedan U- turned to follow them. "Garrick I am good driver but this van with all these people in it we can't out run him," Alexander said. "I know Alex," said Garrick, "Look just keep it as straight as you can and the closer he gets the slower you go okay?" "Right on boss," acknowledged Alexander. Alexander did his best to go in a straight line as traffic going slower than they were made it difficult. Garrick however was opening his door and climbing onto the roof of the van. The air whipped his hair to and fro as he gazed behind the van. 'You can do this man,' Garrick told himself. As Garrick waited for the sedan to get closer, He thought about what he was going to do and scraped up the courage. When the sedan was just about to hit the van again Garrick jumped and landed on the hood of the sedan. He looked into the Bishop's eyes and smiled. The Bishop swerved the car right then left but Garrick held on. As he straightened out he pulled his huge pistol pointed it at Garrick and fired. Garrick rolled up the windshield avoiding all four shots of the Bishop. With his left hand he punched out the driver side window then rolled to the passenger side of the car to barely avoid two more shots. Garrick rolled back and reached into the driver window to grab the steering wheel and jerk it to the left. The Bishop not being able to control the car as it started to flip onto its side. As the sedan turned onto it's side Garrick jumped onto the driver side door and then jump back onto the freeway landing on his right shoulder. Garrick landed with a sickening thud and rolled quickly to a stop. All over the traffic had at this point stopped and were watching Garrick lie there. A blue van quickly pulled up and as it came to a stop a young girl leapt out of it to run over to him. "Bro! Are you all right?" Geraldine franticly asked. With a cough Garrick rolled over and smiled at his sister, "Yea I'll live. Sore as hell but I'll live." "Let us get out of here before the police arrive," suggested Richmond. "Sounds good to me," said Garrick, "Alex man rip of our license plate." "Yep," replied Alexander as he did so. And the black pack piled into the blue van and sped off to their apartment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ "Damn bro," laughed Geraldine, "You look like a house after a tornado." Garrick was shirtless as was being bandaged by Icy. His blood soaked shirt thrown in the corner of the living room. "Loving wife, this is not the right time for joking," said Richmond seeing Garrick as angry as he was. "We need a change of plan," Garrick said calmly, "This is getting us nowhere fast." "What are you proposing Garrick?" asked the nursing Icy. "If we keep just waiting around not doing anything Forsythe is just going to keep sending worse and worse guys after us," explained Garrick. "How do we do that boss?" Alexander asked. "Well actually it is quite simple we find someone who hates working for Forsythe but loved working for me," said Garrick Garrick looked at Icy and both of their eyes went wide and said together, "Ness Carter!" "Who?" asked Geraldine. Garrick looked at his sister, "Ness Carter is a smuggler. He worked for me-" "A smuggler? What good is a smuggler is going to do against Remy Forsythe?" asked Geraldine. "Well not much unless you're Ness Carter. You see sis, Ness is a man who if you smuggled anything into, out, or through the country he not only knew about it but probably had a hand in it too." said Garrick. "Not that arrogant bastard again," groaned Alexander, "There has to be someone else." "Oh there is, but since the Bishop and the rest of the Horrors are Carter's, it's the best bet." said Icy "Horrors?" asked Geraldine. "Yea all that time ago when I ran things I told Ness to tell me how much money it would take to make a bunch of killers "extreme" enough to handle our foes. He came back after six months with the idea of 12 Horrors. 5 of which he had "recruited" before my incarceration." explained Garrick. "Okay well then let's go see him," said Richmond. "It's not that easy," said Garrick, "You see no one knows where he is unless they work for him. People have ways of getting a hold of him, but it was one of his conditions to work with our organization was that we do not over see what he does. And his Horrors are that good, that we let him do whatever. Mostly because what do we do about his Horrors coming after us." "So what do we do, bro?" asked Geraldine. "Well we just look for him, sis," said Garrick, "We will hit places that he owns. Let's start with Michelangelo's Paints, it is an Art Gallery on the east side of town." "Really, cool!" exclaimed Geraldine. "Twenty minutes and then we're out of here," Garrick said as he stood up and walked to his room. The rest of them turned to walk to their respective rooms also. Ten minutes later Icy, Geraldine, Richmond, and Garrick were standing in the living room. Garrick and Icy dressed in their traditional clothes that they were known for, while Geraldine was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans with a camo-jacket over it. Richmond had chosen a very nice blue suit; now to say it was blue really didn't cut it. The suit was very pale blue, so blue that in some light it was white. Garrick was looking at his watch and tapping his foot impatiently. "Alex come on man! Get your black ass out here!" yelled Garrick. Alex came out in a black suit with a blue tie, "Shit man are you sure?" groaned Alexander, "It's just this dude he's such an ass." "Look Alex I know he is but when you're as important and as good as he is you get to be an ass," said Garrick with a laugh, "Besides I've always liked that about him. Remember he prefers the term "eccentric"." "Alright lets get this done with," Alexander said straightening his tie. The Black Pack walk to the door with Garrick then Icy followed by Geraldine and Richmond with Alexander bringing up the rear. "You know Alex man he's not really that bad when-" Garrick was saying as he opened the front door but stopped before he stepped out. Everyone stared slack jawed at the seven-foot tall figure in the doorway. "Hello my little lambs," said the Bishop his voice dripping with malice, "It is time for a reckoning now is it not?" The Bishop stepped into the room his frame filling the groups vision. Garrick took a fighting stance and said, "Shut up. No talking, bring your tricks, bring your pride, bring whatever the hell you want; just BRING it!" The Bishop lunged at Garrick in a fury of blows that Garrick just managed to block. Garrick dropped down and tripped the Bishop. As Garrick brought a fist up and then down on the Bishop, but he blocked it by grabbing Garrick's wrists. The rest of the group rushed up to help Garrick, but he yelled, "No! This is my fight just him and me. This ends here." Garrick brought up his knee into the stomach of the Bishop who grunted and released his wrists. Garrick put his hands together and over his head to hit the Bishop between his shoulder blades. With a roar the Bishop lunged up to grab Garrick around his waist and put his into the closest wall. Garrick returned with a vicious right punch to the jaw. The Bishop staggered back and Garrick came out of the wall with a punch to the gut. The Bishop fell back to the wall and used it to boost off of and shoulder blocked Garrick and sent his flying across the room and land on his back. Garrick rolled over and started to get up when the Bishop hit him across the back with a wooden chair breaking it. The Bishop brought his foot up to stomp Garrick into the carpet, but Garrick rolled over and grabbed it and followed it up with a trip that sent the Bishop crashing through the coffee table. Garrick walked over to where the Bishop lay and grabbed the Bishops head and hit with his own. That sent both parties to the floor again. Garrick got up first and stared down at the Bishop. The Bishop kicked up and hit Garrick in the stomach. As Garrick came down from the hit he met the fist of the Bishop. Garrick flew through the air and hit the floor hard. Garrick slowly came up. He saw the Bishop trying to catch his breath and Garrick found himself doing the same. As the Bishop ran at Garrick he reached down deep into himself and quickly kicked the Bishop across the jaw with the heel of his shoe. The Bishop on his way down grabbed Garrick's leg and used it to balance himself to turn on the ball of his own foot and roundhouse kick Garrick in the temple. As Garrick struggled to get up on his hands and knees he found that the room was spinning. Before he could do anything the Bishop ran up and kicked him in the ribs knocking the wind from him. As Garrick rolled on the floor trying to recover he heard the Bishop laughing, "You foolish young lamb. How could you expect to match fist with the messenger of God?" The Bishop continued to laugh as he walked up to Garrick. Garrick filled with anger quickly rolled up to his knees and lunged up to put his arms around the waits of the Bishop and lift him over his head in a bear hug. "Yes! Damn it all to Hell, Yes!" yelled Garrick as he brought the Bishop down to his him flat on his back. Garrick looked down at the Bishop and grunted. With anger in his eyes he took out Clyde and pointed it to the chest of the Bishop. His held the black pistol with two hands and looked through the sights of the gun and brought it up to the Bishops head. The Bishop stirred and opened his eyes to look down the barrel of Garrick's pistol. Garrick saw the Bishop with fear in his eyes for just a moment then he composed himself. "Do it," said the Bishop coldly, "It is what waits for me when I return having failed." Garrick stared at the Bishop for a moment letting it all sink in. The Bishop lay amongst broken pieces of furniture and blood stained the carpet. Garrick noticed that blood was dripping down from the lip of the Bishop and onto his burnt suit. Garrick himself was bleeding from the kick to the temple that he had received. He tightened his grip on Clyde, the gun had always hit true to Garrick's mark he knew that it wouldn't fail him now. What Garrick didn't notice was the cross in the hand of the Bishop. "No you're not worth it. Tell Ness Carter that The Demon is looking for him" Garrick said so low that it was almost not heard. Garrick turned around to walk away and the Bishop with a flick of his wrist turned the cross into a knife. He lunged at Garrick but before Garrick could react a gunshot rang out. The Bishop looked down at his heart and blood was slowly come through is suit. Garrick turned around a whipped out both pistols and put two bullets in the Bishop. When the Bishop hit the floor Garrick walked up to him and emptied both of the guns clips into the chest of the Bishop. He stared at the body of the Bishop for a moment and then turned to look at who had saved his life. Garrick looked up to see Geraldine holding a smoking gun. Tears were in her eyes and her mouth tried to form words but none came out. "Geraldine? Are you okay?" asked Garrick. Geraldine just shook her head. All of the color was drained from her face and she just stared at the dead and quickly going cold body of the Bishop. Richmond put his arm around her, "It was the first person she has ever had to shoot." "Sis it will be okay," Said Garrick, "He was going to kill me. There was no other way." She nodded her head at Garrick looking him in his eyes. A smile crossed her lips, "Are you okay Garrick?" "Yea I am, thanks to you sis," said Garrick with a smile, "Now take a few moments with your husband and then we'll go see Carter, okay sis?" "Okay bro," Geraldine replied and Richmond took her to their room and shut the door. After about ten minutes of not a word being spoken the only sounds were the running of water as Garrick cleaned his wounds, both Geraldine and Richmond came out. With a quick nod to her brother the group left the apartment and got into the blue van. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ END Author notes: I started this story and had a good idea of what I was going to do. This is NOWHERE near where I was. It just came to me. The three problems that arose where following David Schwager (I loved your last part the most dude), the fight of The Black Bishop, Richmond Gray, and Akiko, and how to make the cops not show up for all that went on. To any fans of Alexander T. Brashier I can only say that I am sorry. Sorry because I know absolutly nothing about computers so I could not do all that much with him. A side note on my two charaters. First Johnathon Cage; he knew Sean Willis when they were younger and they have still talk and help each other out. Second is Ness Carter; he is untouchable, even by Forsythe and he knows it. I saw him VERY close to the french guy in the sequel to the Matrix(the one guarding the keymaker). A few "thank you's" go out: To Mads the Beast for starting and keeping this story going. To Lone Wolf and Wagh_Girl (me wife) for rereading it at the last minute. To my TV and VCR and the makers of The Big Hit (never watch this movie and try to write, BAD things try to happen) And a big thank you to someone whose work I have read for years Stefan "Twoflower" Gagne. His work in especially Ultra really helped me gather the courage to do this. Thank you Twoflower, thanks. Thanks to all who read this and send comments to me at Pacopuck@yahoo.com anything is good for this is the first thing I have ever written. Have fun.
