There is a puzzling sort of person that roams the internet, and prefers to start tales from the middle, instead of in the beginning, where everything starts. If you have no clue what has gone before, than you must be one of those people. I will offer a brief summary for your perusal - in the last chapter our heroes returned to earth in the middle of a Hello Cthulhu meeting and met a purple pigtailed girl who looks strangely familiar. But I digress. The Do-Gooders - The Proactive Teen Superhero Team With No X Anywhere In Their Title Original Concept by Stefan Gagne Episode 20 - Back to Earth, Home Sweet - Oh no...not a goldfish! By Delfina Meanwhile...behind the innocent looking facade of a comic book store...a mysterious figure sat, apparently eating lunch. Upon looking closer at this personage, he appeared to have an air of intense concentration about him as he gazed into a bowl of wonton soup. However, this was no ordinary bowl of wonton soup. Besides the noodles, a picture was forming on the surface of the broth. In it were several figures, assorted minions, four teenage girls - one of whom the observer thought looked especially captivating - two teenage guys, and an older couple, the woman who looked surprisingly familiar, as well as bearing a close resemblance to one of the girls. There was also some sort of strange furry creature accompanying them, trailed by two drunken dwarves. But then again, dwarves were born drunk. "Hm...so, the Queen has come to visit Earth. Interesting. And there is a girl of surpassing loveliness at her side. I must make her acquaintance and honor her with my company." With that said, the mysterious figure dipped his spoon into the soup, dispelling the picture, and resumed eating his meal. * * * The party lurched to a halt and gazed at the chaos of the scene before them. Teijina in particular was very ... well ... shocked ... as she gazed into the face of a young purple-haired teenager, who looked very familiar...she couldn't quite place where she had seen her before however...Everyone else seemed to be stunned into silence and no one was moving. The girl was running towards them and flung herself at Teijina, crushing her in a huge hug. Then the girl examined Teijina's face more closely and jumped back, embarrassed. "Oh, oops. I'm sorry, you looked like my mother from a distance." She said. Teijina nodded, not really sure what to say, still being in a state of shock. There also seemed to be a floating goldfish bowl following the purple-pigtailed girl. Teijina took all of this in, in a sort of detached way, in the same way that she got the distinct feeling that she was being watched by some sort of evil. She also suddenly had a craving for wonton soup. Suddenly, she was startled out of her reverie as she felt something bump her leg. Looking down she noticed the bleary eyes of a mangy, yet somewhat cute cat gazing upwards at the girl. The cat's eyes grew wide, as she looked from Teijina, to the purple haired girl, and back again. Then her eyes happened to wander over to where the goldfish was floating, just out of paw's reach. This was just too much and Daisy was startled sober. "Pepper? Sailor Bliss? Long time no see!" "Daisy! How nice to see you! You're not going to try and eat me again, are you? It's been a nice few millenniums without the fear of constantly being preyed upon on my mind." The goldfish was cautiously hovering well out of range. "Sailor Bliss, you remember your twin, Sailor Delight, don't you?" "My twin?!" both girls exclaimed. "No wonder she looked so familiar," Teijina thought. Out loud she said, "Maybe we should have some introductions here. My name is Teijina." "Hi! My name is Hanaki. And this is Pepperidge, my goldfish. We call him Pepper for short." Matsuro and Kireiko were especially eager to meet Teijina's twin. Hanaki looked just like her, except for the purple hair of course. Wow! Imagine...TWO Teijina's! Now they could stop fighting over her. "Hanaki, my name is Matsuro," he said, grasping her hand as if to place a kiss upon it...only to be yanked out of the way by Kireiko. "Pleased to meet you Hanaki, my name is Kireiko." Becky rolled her eyes, while Teijina, Hanaki, and Aki merely looked puzzled. Keiko had an expression of fury on her face, and Charity and Villyn were amused. The dwarves and the minions were sharing a brew and were too drunk to comprehend what was happening in the world around them. Zathras was gazing at Hanaki with a strange expression on his face. Under his breath he could be heard muttering, "Is she the one? Yes, she must be! She is the one! Should I give her the-urp!" His mutterings suddenly stopped as he was overcome with nausea from the overwhelming cuteness of the Hello Cthulhus on stage. Indeed, all of the party was starting to feel slightly gaggy. The party started getting ready for war, with Keiko and Matsuro brandishing their Swords of Duality, Kireiko loosening his shirt, Agent BA-3 testing her artillery, and the Sailors warming up their attacks. Villyn and Charity weren't exactly sure what to do, and Aki had no intention of changing into a fuku, especially if it looked like the fashion disaster Becky's did. The dwarves still had no idea what was going on and the minions were awaiting orders. Zathras was feeling a bit faint. "My minions, let us wipe this scourge off the face of the earth!" Villyn cried, as he charged into battle. His rationale was that in order to take over the world, he needed to get rid of his potential rivals first, so he might as well team up with those no-good Do-Gooders for now. And besides, it would make Aki proud, and maybe his prowess in battle would impress Charity. The others looked at him slightly dumbfounded, and then they too ran into the fray. Matsuro and Keiko started hacking up body parts, with Keiko gathering up the blood in her travel canteen, while Agent BA-3 started throwing bombs and kicking anything that got in her way - in several painful places. Kireiko threw off his shirt and started tearing apart Hello Cthulhus (literally) and throwing their dismembered body parts randomly about, although careful not to throw them by Sailors Delight and Bliss, who were teaming up to blast away enemies with such powerful attacks as "Delightful Account Overdraft" and "Blissful Frozen Assets!". Apparently the twins were both shopoholics. The Queen and Aki meanwhile, stood and watched the carnage passively. Eventually they got tired of that since there were so many of the Hello Cthulhus and so few of them. They both sighed and decided to go in and help, Aki silently trying to convince herself that a fuku wouldn't look so bad, when suddenly the figure of Brother Maynard appeared in the sky. (The crowds had by this time, quite rapidly dispersed.) "wHaT iS GoInG oN hErE?" he demanded, then a piece of cute flesh smacked him in the face. Kireiko managed to look slightly innocent. "oH nO! rEtReAt! ReTrEaT! i ShAlL fIgHt YoU aNoThEr DaY!" and with that, the surviving Hello Cthulhus vanished in a flash of darkness, leaving the Do-Gooders and their companions alone on the battlefield. * * * The mysterious figure - now looking into a glass of milk - laughed quietly to himself and gazed longingly upon the sight of the beautiful Sailor, and with some disgust at the sight of the Queen fawning over that man. The mysterious figure hoped momentarily that the fumbling fool Villyn would not become his in-law anytime soon. He then swirled his cloak dramatically (yes he's wearing a cloak) and struck a mighty pose, exclaiming, "I am the Tyrannical Prince of Darkest Night! The Herald of Death! The Gum you can Never get off your Shoe! I am Baron Stagner von Carrlson of the Kingdom of Obscurity!" WHAT IS GOING ON? WHO IS THIS BARON PERSON? HOW IS HE RELATED TO CHARITY? WHICH SAILOR IS HE TALKING ABOUT? WHY DID BROTHER MAYNARD GIVE UP SO EASILY? WHERE HAS SAILOR BLISS BEEN ALL THIS TIME? WILL KIREIKO AND MATSURO STOP FIGHTING OVER TEIJINA NOW? GOT MILK? These questions and many more may or may not be answered in the next installment of Do-Gooders! Have fun Yasha!
