Villyn gulped nervously. He had been trying to casually take off his helmet for fifteen minutes now, and it wouldn't budge. Charity looked a tad peeved. He decided to distract her, if possible. Clearing his throat, he began: "You know, I think that what Maynard told us about Aki was very interesting, don't you?" Charity's expression of impatience instantly changed to one of maternal concern. "I do hope that nothing bad happens to her. It is a good thing that she is friends with the Do-Gooders - they should be able to help protect her. I never knew she was the 'light of the world'." Villyn sighed. "My poor Aki-chan! I hope the minions we left with her will do their jobs." "I'm sure they will do fine. Aki's a brave girl, and she has powerful friends. She told us that she could handle it, and I think you should believe her." Patting his hand sympathetically, Charity continued. "She's not your little girl anymore, she's growing up." "You're right, of course," he replied, sniffing a bit. "My little girl is growing up." Charity beamed at him. "Very good." Snapping her fingers and pulling a large can-opener out of another dimension, she smiled. "Now, let's see about taking that helmet off..." ***** Do Gooders 45 - Hello Cthulu! What? Another kidnapping? By Delfina Started by 2f Hosted by IFF ***** Aki frowned. This time she was stuck with the Blank Psychic, Quake Camper, and T-kun. The last seemed almost pathetically happy about going to the Do-Gooders concert with her. 'Going to see Becky-sama!' Jumping up and down and wearing his 'Becky-sama!' t-shirt, he seemed excited about the whole excursion. Aki just wondered where he managed to get the t-shirt. "So... are we ready to go?" "Ready Aki-sama!" came the chorus. "Fine, let's go. Hopefully we won't run into any Shubby-chan groupies today." "We will protect you, Aki-sama! Never fear!" Aki rolled her eyes and muttered underneath her breath, "I was afraid of that..." ***** The Do-Gooder's jaws dropped collectively - except for Matsuro who just looked bishounenly surprised, if that's possible. Keiko and Dragon Childe - having heard the commotion - had also run out onto the stage, and looked just as surprised as the Do-Gooders. "Um, is that... Jodi Foster on their armor?" Koohii asked, somewhat nervously. Scotch peered at the marking again. "Why yes, yes it does appear to be the American film star. Why do you ask?" "We could do without the sarcasm," Tejina said, glaring at him. "What are they doing here? And what is that supposed to mean?" "Well, it seems as though the Jodi Foster portrait upon their armor affords them some added protection as well as causing the members of the largely human audience to be mesmerized into a state of consciousness in which they do not understand nor see what is going on about them - which is perfect for them since now they do not have to deal with that distraction and can now focus upon you - who are not affected by the magic unfortunately - for reasons they are not capable of comprehending, but we can assume it has something to do with your own magical natures, although if you gaze at them for too long you too will succumb and offer the Hello Cthulu creatures an easy victory, which would be a very bad thing." Ayame looked around - the Do-Gooders, Dragon Childe, and Keiko were all hypnotized and staring vacantly at the oncoming hordes of Hello Cthulus. "Hm. Guess I took a little too long to get to the point. I really must work on that..." Being careful to avoid looking at the Jodi Foster symbol, Ayame started prodding people, to try and get them to wake up. ***** "Great. We're going to be late. They should be onstage now... hopefully we can catch the last bit of their set." Aki said, as she and the three minions accompanying her ran into the auditorium - smack dab into the Hello Cthulus - causing them to be knocked over like dominoes. Well some of them. "Aki-sama! I will protect you!" cried the Blank Psychic as he started knocking Hello Cthulus unconscious left and right. He was soon joined by T-kun and the Quake Camper, who got to play with some of his new weapons of mass destruction. *BOOM!* "Ten more down! Whee!" Aki decided that she might as well change into her Sailor Joy form and help fight them. After the transformation sequence - which has been described before so there's no need to do it now... - she happened to notice that the Do-Gooders (and company) were standing on stage doing... nothing at all. In fact, her minions were in the same state now. "[What] is going [on]?" she demanded, running up to the stage. Ayame answered. "Well, you see... the markings have hypnotized them." Aki blinked. "Markings? The Jodi Foster thing?" "Yes. We need to break them out of this trance." "Well, we should do it fast, since the Hello Cthulu are regrouping," Aki replied, pointing at said Hello Cthulu. "Hm. Err. Use your Joyful Cleansing Light. That might snap them out of it." "JOYFUL CLEANSING LIGHT!" A brilliant flash of light filled the auditorium, blinding everyone. Which caused them to blink, which rather conveniently caused them to snap out of their trances. Also - about ten of the Hello Cthulus were gone forever. She hoped. "dArN! iT iS tHe LiGhT oF tHe WoRlD! wE aRe NoT aLlOwEd To HuRt HeR." Hanaki glanced at Aki. "Hey! You made it!" Tejina looked puzzled. "Light of the world?" Aki blinked. "What? Oh great. That thing Dad told me about earlier." Kireiko grinned. "Well, you ladies chat, I'm going to kick some Hello Cthulu butt." Taking off his shirt, he turned into oni form and proceeded to do just that. "Light of the world... why does that term seem familiar?" Keiko pondered. "Maybe you just read it in that new book you got?" Mermaid suggested. Matsuro looked bishonenly curious, "New book?" "Yes, the book of Ultimate Evil. It's - hey wait a second... Where did Kireiko go?" Hanaki whirled about. "Oh no! Look!" she cried, pointing at the retreating Hello Cthulu army disappearing with Kireiko in their grasp. "We've got to go save him!" Tejina sighed. "Will we ever finish a concert?" ***** Meanwhile... "OW!!" "Oh come now, Nemesis-chan. It didn't hurt that much." Villyn groaned and brushed a hand through his thinning brown hair. "Well... are you disappointed?" Charity smiled. "No, of course I'm not." Leaning over, she gave him a kiss. "Now, isn't this much better without the helmet on?" He grinned and pulled her into his arms. "Yes, yes it is." ***** WILL KIREIKO BE RESCUED, OR WILL HE TURN INTO CTHULU'S VESSEL? WHAT IS THIS 'LIGHT OF THE WORLD' THING ANYWAYS? WILL CHARITY AND NEMESIS HAVE A NICE TIME? WILL VILLYN GET RID OF ALL OF HIS ARMOR NOW? All this, and less quite possibly - will be answered in the next installment of DG. Author's Note: Err. Sorry this is so short. Russian came first. Hopefully I advanced the plot a slight bit. *sigh* Oh well.
